Consumerism during the holiday season is hard for families struggling to pay everyday bills. According to US Census numbers, four percent of all Americans live in poverty. But in Muncie, that number is much larger – nearly 30 percent of Muncie residents live at or below the poverty line. IPR’s Cody Butler reports on how one Muncie woman is changing her circumstances.
