StateImpact Indiana: State Turnaround in Marion

When you think of a state intervention in a failing school, you might picture the high-profile takeovers in Indianapolis and Gary earlier this year.  But state superintendent Tony Bennett wants the Department of Education to help improve more Indiana schools before they need to be taken over.  StateImpact Indiana’s Kyle Stokes recently visited Marion High School in Grant County to see what it looks like when state education officials get involved in a proactive intervention.
