StateImpact Indiana: Community schools model

“Community schools” claim to be more than just schools in urban areas.  They’re designed to boost graduation rates while also acting as a hub for the neighborhood.  But school officials freely admit the model hasn’t helped test scores — which landed four Indianapolis community schools on the state’s intervention list last week.  So has the community school model failed?  StateImpact Indiana’s Kyle Stokes visited a community school on the west side of Indianapolis.
