Trump will not drive pace car at Indy 500

After much outcry and a Facebook campaign against the choice, Donald Trump will not drive the pace car at this year’s 100th anniversary of the Indy 500.  Officials with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway made the announcement this afternoon.  Trump told speedway officials that he may be running for the President of the United States, and it would be inappropriate for him to drive the pace car.  Speedway official Mark Dill says no decision on Trump’s replacement has been made, but they are working with a short list of candidates.
