Historic preservation conference focuses on downtown revitalization

Developers, neighborhood leaders, and tourism staff from around Indiana are gathered in Indianapolis this week for the state’s annual historic preservation conference.  Tina Connor with Indiana Landmarks says this year, conference-goers are talking about revitalizing downtown areas — a goal that cities like Muncie and Anderson are working on.

This year’s attendees are also learning about tax credits, saving schools, care of historic cemeteries, and keeping green while preserving history.
