The Butler Bulldogs tonight will get a second chance at the championship game of the NCAA College Basketball Tournament. The Bulldogs face the University of Connecticut Huskies at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Last year, a Butler half-court shot was inches from going in at the buzzer, which would have delivered a Bulldog win in their first appearance. This year, the UConn Huskies are looking for their third national championship – last won in 2004. Butler University President Bobby Fong says the team has reinforced the university’s reputation as a place where students balance athletics with academics. Fong credits that for the school’s 40 percent increase in student applications. Tip-off for the game is set for 9:23 PM.
