Some CBS stations blocked on Dish Network after contract dispute

Many Hoosier satellite television customers who use provider Dish Network are currently not able to see their local CBS television stations after negotiations between Dish Network and Rhode Island-based Lin Media failed to reach a new service agreement.  Lin operates CBS affiliates in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Lafayette, and Terre Haute.  They also own WNDY-TV in Indianapolis.  A Dish Network message on the blocked channels says Lin has asked the satellite provider for a 175 percent price increase to carry the channels.  In a written statement, Lin Media says the company only wants what’s fair to local affiliates, and that they will continue to negotiate with Dish Network.
