Bridge Washes Out in Madison County

A BRIDGE SWEPT AWAY IN MADISON COUNTY AS THE WATERS ROSE. TODD HARMESON WITH MADISON COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SAYS IT HAPPENED NEAR FRANKTON. A BRIDGE WAS SUPPORTED BY A CULVERT. BOTH GOT SWEPT AWAY AS WATER CAME RUSHING THROUGH. A MOTORIST WHO COULDN‘T SEE THE BRIDGE‘S REMNANTS ENDED UP IN A NEARBY DITCH. THE MAN SUSTAINED ONLY MINOR INJURIES. A NUMBER OF ROADS ARE CLOSED ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA AS A RESULT OF THE HEAVY RAINS AND MELTING SNOW.
