Shenandoah School Corporation sued by student’s family

The Shenandoah School Corporation is being sued by a Henry County teenager and his family.  The lawsuit, filed in Henry County Circuit Court, says in late 2009, then 16-year-old James Bethea lost the tip of his right ring finger when his agriculture teacher told him to help load a cattle feeder onto a trailer.  The suit, which seeks unspecified damages, claims the school district failed to properly supervise students.  Shenandoah Schools had not commented on the pending lawsuit.
