Cell Phone Ban Bill Getting Busy Signals

(STATEHOUSE) – LEGISLATORS APPEAR UNLIKELY TO BAN CELL PHONE USE WHILE DRIVING. A SENATE COMMITTEE HOLDS A HEARING FRIDAY ON A BILL TO OUTLAW ALL HANDHELD COMMUNICATIONS AT THE WHEEL, FROM TEXTING TO CELL PHONES. BUT MARKLE REPUBLICAN TRAVIS HOLDMAN SAYS THE BILL WILL BE SCALED BACK TO COVER TEXTING ONLY. THE HOUSE HAS ALREADY GIVEN OVERWHELMING APPROVAL TO A TEXTING BAN.
