Hoosier students asking Statehouse for more financial aid

Students from Indiana’s independent colleges and universities will gather at the statehouse tomorrow (TUES), calling on legislators to protect funding for financial aid.  Funds from the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana are given to Hoosier students to make college more affordable.  Unlike previous years, the current budget proposal does not increase money for financial aid.   Richard Ludwick is the president of the Independent Colleges of Indiana.

The students will return to the Statehouse again in March and April to show support for increased financial age at different points in the budget process.
