Former Muncie Police Chief Dies

A long-time, respected, Delaware county law-enforcement official has passed away.

The Star Press reports 72-year-old Don Scroggins died Wednesday after a lengthy illness. Scroggins served as both Muncie’s police chief and as chief deputy of the Delaware county sheriff’s department. He spent 42 years in law enforcement.

Don Scroggins was the uncle of current Delaware County Sheriff Mike Scroggins.
