THE FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM THURSDAY TO 5 AM EST
FRIDAY.

PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE IS STILL POSSIBLE LATE THIS
MORNING…WHICH MAY STILL CAUSE SCATTERED SLICK
SPOTS…ESPECIALLY ON UNTREATED SURFACES. HOWEVER…THE THREAT FOR
WIDESPREAD TRAVEL PROBLEMS HAS ENDED THIS MORNING.

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS FORECAST TO MOVE THROUGH THE TENNESSEE
VALLEY ON THURSDAY BEFORE MOVING EAST TO THE ATLANTIC COAST BY
FRIDAY. A BAND OF MODERATE SNOW ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOW IS
EXPECTED TO DEPOSIT ACCUMULATING SNOW ACROSS THE AREA. 4 TO 5
INCHES OF SNOW IS LIKELY ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA. GUSTY WINDS AND
COLDER TEMPERATURES FOLLOWING THE LOW WILL BRING DRIFTING SNOW AND
COLD WIND CHILLS TO THE REGION BY FRIDAY MORNING.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE
