New Castle Police Chief Defends Search

(NEW CASTLE) – NEW CASTLE POLICE ARE BEING ACCUSED OF USING EXCESSIVE FORCE IN THE RAID OF A SUSPECTED DRUG HOUSE. 66-YEAR OLD JAMES ADAMS SUFFERED A BROKEN HIP THAT REQUIRED SURGERY AFTER POLICE SERVED A SEARCH WARRANT LOOKING FOR DRUGS IN HIS HOME.

ADAMS WAS PUSHED TO THE FLOOR BUT WASN’T ARRESTED. NEW CASTLE POLICE CHIEF JIM NICHOLSON DEFENDS THE USE OF FORCE, SAYING ADAMS WAS NOT COMPLYING WITH COMMANDS.
