As of the 2000 Census, Indiana’s Hispanic and Latino population stands at 322,000. That’s likely to increase when the latest census numbers come out this spring, and that means more work for the state agency in charge of addressing Hispanic and Latino issues in Indiana. Since being named its director last year, Danny Lopez has been working to raise his agency’s profile and make it more results-oriented. Lopez recently spoke with Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Micah Schweizer.
