The owner of Redkey’s Key Palace Theater has died at the age of 72. Key Palace’s website says that Charlie Noble died Monday evening. Noble was born in May of 1938. He fell in love with blues music while pursuing an acting career in Chicago and Los Angeles. The Star Press reports that Noble bought the Redkey theater in 1986 for $1,000. As a former construction and steel worker, he renovated the space himself. Noble’s nephew Mark Thornburg says that funeral arrangements are pending at Meeks Mortuary in Muncie.
