Indiana will have a new commissioner in charge of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Andy Miller has resigned, effective immediately, after his arrest yesterday. Governor Mitch Daniels calls it a sad situation. He says he has been traveling and doesn’t know many details.
BMV Chief of Staff R. Scott Waddell will replace Miller, who faces a misdemeanor charge of public indecency for exposing himself to an undercover officer. He began at the B-M-V in January 2009. Miller previously worked as the director of the state’s Office of Disaster and Recovery and the Department of Agriculture.
